Drancy is a commune in the northeastern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located in the Seine-Saint-Denis department, which is part of the Île-de-France region. Drancy is situated approximately 10 kilometers (6 miles) northeast of the center of Paris. The city is known for being the location of the Drancy internment camp during World War II, where many Jews were held before being deported to concentration and extermination camps. Today, Drancy is a residential suburb with a complex history.
