Troyes is a city in north-central France, located in the Grand Est region. It is the capital of the Aube department. Geographically, Troyes is situated on the Seine River, approximately 150 kilometers (93 miles) southeast of Paris. The city is known for its well-preserved medieval architecture, including half-timbered houses and Gothic churches. The Troyes Cathedral (Cathédrale Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul de Troyes) and the historic Old Town are among the notable landmarks.
