Where is Valence, France Located?

Valence is a city in southeastern France, located in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. It is the capital of the Drôme department. Geographically, Valence is situated on the left bank of the Rhône River, approximately 100 kilometers (62 miles) south of Lyon. The city is known for its historical heritage, including the Valence Cathedral (Cathédrale Saint-Apollinaire de Valence) and the Château de Crussol, a medieval castle on a hill overlooking the city.
