Where is Mainz

Mainz is the capital city of the Rhineland-Palatinate state in western Germany. It is situated on the west bank of the Rhine River, across from Wiesbaden, which is the capital of the neighboring state of Hesse. Mainz is known for its historical significance, and it has a rich cultural heritage, including its Roman roots and its association with Johannes Gutenberg, the inventor of the printing press.
