Minden is a town in the North Rhine-Westphalia state of Germany. It is located in the northeastern part of the state, near the Weser River. Minden is situated between the cities of Bielefeld and Hannover. The town has a rich history and is known for its historic architecture, including the Minden Cathedral. Additionally, the Mittelland Canal, an important artificial waterway, passes through Minden.
