Where is Thessaloniki

Thessaloniki is a city in northern Greece and is the second-largest city in the country after Athens. It is the capital of the Central Macedonia region and is situated on the Thermaic Gulf, which is part of the Aegean Sea. Thessaloniki has a rich history, having been founded in 315 BC by Cassander, a general of Alexander the Great, and named after Alexander's sister, Thessalonike.
