Charikar is a city in and the capital of Parwan Province in central Afghanistan. It is located approximately 40 kilometers (25 miles) north of Kabul, the capital city of Afghanistan. Charikar is an important urban center in the region and serves as the administrative and economic hub of Parwan Province.
