Neuss is a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is situated on the west bank of the Rhine River, near Düsseldorf, one of the major cities in the region. Neuss is part of the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan area, which is one of the largest metropolitan regions in Europe. The city has a rich history and features several historical sites and landmarks, including the Quirinus Münster and the Obertor, a medieval city gate.
