Kozani is a city in northern Greece and is the capital of the Kozani regional unit. It is situated in the western part of the Greek region of Macedonia. The city is located approximately 120 kilometers (75 miles) southwest of Thessaloniki, which is the second-largest city in Greece. Kozani is known for its historical and cultural heritage and is also an important economic center in the region, particularly in the fields of agriculture and industry.
