Patrai, also known as Patras, is the third-largest city in Greece and the capital of the Achaea regional unit. It is situated in the northern part of the Peloponnese peninsula, along the Gulf of Patras, which is an extension of the Ionian Sea. The city is strategically located, serving as an important transportation hub with a major port connecting the western part of Greece with the Ionian Islands and Italy.
