Bundaberg is located on the central coast of Queensland, about 360 kilometres north of Brisbane. It lies between the Burnett River, which flows through the city, and the rich agricultural plains that surround the region. It is famous for its rum distillery, Bundaberg ginger beer, and its proximity to the southern Great Barrier Reef and Mon Repos turtle rookery.
