Nowra is located on the South Coast of New South Wales, about 160 kilometres south of Sydney. It lies between the Shoalhaven River to the north and the forested hills and coastal landscapes that stretch toward Jervis Bay. It is famous for its riverfront setting, naval aviation history, and its role as a major centre for the Shoalhaven region.
