Gladstone is located on the central coast of Queensland, about 520 kilometres north of Brisbane. It lies between the sheltered waters of Port Curtis and the industrial and residential areas that stretch inland toward the Calliope River region. It is famous for its deep-water harbour, major role in Queensland’s export industries, and gateway access to the southern Great Barrier Reef.
