Sunbury is located in the outer northwestern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, about 40 kilometres from the city centre. It lies between the Macedon Ranges to the northwest and the rolling volcanic plains that extend toward Melbourne. It is famous for its historic homesteads, wine production, and as the birthplace of The Ashes cricket tradition.
