Toowoomba is located on the Darling Downs in southern Queensland, about 125 kilometres west of Brisbane. It lies between the Great Dividing Range to the east and the fertile agricultural plains of the Downs region. It is famous for its annual Carnival of Flowers, historic architecture, and role as a major regional centre for education and agriculture.
