Bongaree is located on the western side of Bribie Island in Queensland, about 65 kilometres north of Brisbane. It lies between the calm waters of Pumicestone Passage and the sandy coastal landscapes that stretch across the island. It is famous for its waterfront esplanade, relaxed village atmosphere, and safe swimming beaches popular with families.
