The nation typically has two seasons and they are ‘Wet Season’ and ‘Dry Season’. The one season has significantly heavier rainfall, which is known as wet season. The time frame for this season is from June to December. From December till May, there is a dry season in Barbados. The average temperature ranges from 21 to 31 °C from December to May, and from 23 to 31 °C from June to November. A large portion of Barbados is classified as having a tropical monsoon climate according to the Koppen climate classification system.
In terms of GDP (Gross Domestic Product) per capita, Barbados ranks 52nd richest country in the world. It has a developed mixed economy and a reasonably good standard of life. Barbados is one of the world's 83 high-income economies, according to the World Bank. In recent years, Barbados' economy has expanded into the manufacturing and tourist sectors after formerly being reliant on sugarcane farming and related businesses.
