Jacksonville is a city located in Pulaski County, Arkansas, the United States. It lies in central Arkansas, about 15 miles northeast of downtown Little Rock and roughly 10 miles north of North Little Rock. Jacksonville is part of the Little Rock-North Little Rock-Conway metropolitan area and sits on the northern side of the Arkansas River Valley. The city is located at approximately 34.867° North latitude and 92.110° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 28,364 residents. Jacksonville covers about 28.09 square miles, or 72.75 square kilometers. The city was founded in the 19th century and later became closely connected with the Little Rock Air Force Base, located nearby in Jacksonville.
