Austell is a city located in Cobb County, Georgia, the United States. The city lies in western Cobb County along U.S. Route 78 and near Interstate 20, approximately 7 miles (11 km) west of Smyrna, 18 miles (29 km) west of downtown Atlanta, and about 15 miles (24 km) southeast of Marietta. Austell is located at 33.8126° North latitude and 84.6344° West longitude. According to the 2020 United States Census, the city had a population of 7,713. Austell covers approximately 6.69 square miles (17.33 sq km).
