Brookhaven is a city located in DeKalb County, Georgia, the United States. It is about 10 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta and 12 miles south of Alpharetta. Brookhaven is located at approximately 33.8651° North latitude and 84.3366° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 55,161 residents, and the city covers about 12.64 square miles (32.74 sq km). Brookhaven Park is a popular local green space, while the historic Oglethorpe University campus is another notable landmark. Brookhaven was incorporated as a city in 2012, making it one of Georgia's newer municipalities.
