College Park is a city located in Fulton County, Georgia, the United States. It is about 10 miles southwest of downtown Atlanta and directly south of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. College Park is located at approximately 33.6534° North latitude and 84.4494° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 13,930 residents, and the city covers about 10.15 square miles (26.29 sq km). The city was founded in the late 19th century as Atlantic City and later became College Park. Its name reflects the former presence of several educational institutions. College Park developed around rail lines connecting Atlanta with southern Georgia and remains an important transportation center.
