Where is Dacula Located?

Dacula is a city located in Gwinnett County, Georgia, the United States. It lies about 35 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta, 10 miles northeast of Lawrenceville, and roughly 15 miles southwest of Lake Lanier. Dacula is located at approximately 33.9887° North latitude and 83.8974° West longitude. The city covers about 11.08 square miles (28.70 sq km) and had 7,030 residents in the 2020 Census. The surrounding area has rolling hills, wooded areas, streams, and rapidly growing suburban neighborhoods. Dacula was incorporated in 1905 and was named after a local railroad station. The community developed around agriculture and rail transportation before becoming part of the expanding Atlanta suburbs. Today, Dacula has residential communities, schools, parks, and commercial areas. The city is close to the Mall of Georgia and several recreation areas around Lake Lanier. Nearby Little Mulberry Park is one of the area's popular outdoor destinations, with trails, fishing ponds, sports fields, and open green space.
