Grovetown is a city located in Columbia County, Georgia, the United States. It lies in eastern Georgia, about 10 miles northwest of Augusta and roughly 65 miles west of Columbia, South Carolina. Grovetown is part of the Augusta metropolitan area and sits near Fort Eisenhower, one of the region's largest military installations. The city is located at approximately 33.450° North latitude and 82.198° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 15,577 residents. Grovetown covers about 4.88 square miles, or 12.64 square kilometers, and is primarily land. The community was incorporated in 1881 and developed around the railroad and agriculture in Columbia County.
