Hapeville is a city located in Fulton County, Georgia, the United States. It lies immediately south of Atlanta and about 8 miles south of downtown Atlanta in the central part of the state. Hapeville is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area and borders East Point, College Park, and the city of Atlanta. The city is located at approximately 33.660° North latitude and 84.410° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 6,553 residents. Hapeville covers about 2.38 square miles, or 6.16 square kilometers, and is almost entirely land. The community was incorporated in 1891 and grew with the arrival of railroads and the expansion of Atlanta. Its location near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport has shaped much of its modern economy and transportation network. Hapeville also has strong automotive connections. The Porsche Experience Center Atlanta is a major nearby attraction, while the city was historically associated with Ford Motor Company's Atlanta Assembly Plant.
