Lilburn is a city located in Gwinnett County, Georgia, the United States. It lies in the northeastern part of the Atlanta metropolitan area, about 20 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta and roughly 10 miles west of Lawrenceville. The city is located at approximately 33.891° North latitude and 84.143° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 11,596 residents, and Lilburn covers about 6.02 square miles (15.59 sq km). The community was established in the late 19th century and grew around the Seaboard Air Line Railway, which helped connect the area with Atlanta and other regional communities. Lilburn was incorporated in 1910 and later experienced significant suburban growth as the Atlanta metropolitan area expanded. Old Town Lilburn forms the historic heart of the community, with local businesses, public spaces, and community events. Lilburn City Park is one of the city's main recreation areas and includes walking paths, playgrounds, sports facilities, and open green space.
