Oakdale is a city located in Allen Parish, Louisiana, the United States. It lies in west-central Louisiana, about 45 miles north of Lake Charles and roughly 70 miles west of Alexandria. Kinder is about 15 miles southwest, while Oberlin is around 15 miles south. Oakdale is positioned near 30.816° North latitude and 92.663° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 7,435 residents.
