It lies in the Florida Panhandle along the northern side of St. Andrews Bay, about 3 miles east of downtown Panama City and roughly 10 miles north of Panama City Beach. Callaway is about 7 miles east, while Lynn Haven is approximately 8 miles northwest of Springfield. The city is located at 30.1711° North latitude and 85.6122° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 8,075 residents. Springfield covers about 4.18 square miles (10.83 square kilometers) of land, with additional water area within its city limits.
