The city lies in south-central Florida along U.S. Route 17, approximately 30 miles (48 km) northeast of Punta Gorda, 25 miles (40 km) south of Bartow, and about 85 miles (137 km) southeast of Tampa. Arcadia is located at 27.2159° North latitude and 81.8584° West longitude. According to the 2020 United States Census, the city had a population of 7,637. Arcadia covers approximately 4.53 square miles (11.73 sq km).
