Brecksville is a city located in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, the United States. It lies in northeastern Ohio between Cleveland and Akron. Brecksville is approximately 15 miles south of downtown Cleveland, 20 miles north of Akron, and about 25 miles east of Elyria. The city is located at approximately 41.3198° North latitude and 81.6268° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 13,608 residents. Brecksville covers about 19.41 square miles, or 50.27 square kilometers, including approximately 19.14 square miles of land and 0.27 square miles of water. The Brecksville Reservation, part of the Cleveland Metroparks system, is one of the city's best-known natural attractions. The Cuyahoga Valley National Park also extends through the surrounding region. Brecksville was settled in the early 19th century and incorporated as a village in 1811. Its wooded setting and location near major highways make it a notable suburban community in Greater Cleveland.
