Bremen is a city located in Haralson County, Georgia, the United States. It lies in west-central Georgia, near the border of Haralson and Carroll counties. Bremen is approximately 50 miles west of Atlanta, 20 miles east of Carrollton, and about 25 miles south of Rome. The city is located at approximately 33.7207° North latitude and 85.1455° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 7,185 residents. Bremen covers about 10.02 square miles, or 25.95 square kilometers, including approximately 9.96 square miles of land and 0.06 square miles of water. The city developed around the railroad and became an important commercial center for the surrounding rural area. Bremen's historic downtown reflects its early railroad-era growth, while nearby forests and rolling hills provide a natural backdrop. The community was incorporated in 1883 and was named for Bremen, Germany. Interstate 20 provides a direct transportation connection between Bremen, Atlanta, and Birmingham.
