Clyde is a city located in Sandusky County, Ohio, the United States. It is about 30 miles southeast of Toledo and 15 miles west of Sandusky. Clyde is located at approximately 41.3040° North latitude and 82.9757° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 6,294 residents, and the city covers about 4.83 square miles (12.51 sq km). The surrounding area is mainly agricultural, with flat farmland typical of northern Ohio. Clyde was founded in the early 19th century and incorporated as a village in 1858. It later became a city in 1908. The city developed as a transportation and manufacturing community and is located near U.S. Route 20 and Interstate 80/90, providing access to Toledo, Sandusky, and other Lake Erie communities.
