Flagler Beach is a city located in Flagler County, Florida, the United States. It stretches along Florida's Atlantic coast between the cities of Palm Coast and Ormond Beach. Flagler Beach is about 30 miles north of Daytona Beach, 65 miles south of Jacksonville, and roughly 35 miles southeast of St. Augustine. The city is positioned at approximately 29.474° North latitude and 81.127° West longitude. It covers about 4.20 square miles, or 10.88 square kilometers, including land and water. The 2020 Census recorded 5,017 residents, while recent estimates place the population at about 5,100. Flagler Beach has a low coastal elevation, with most developed areas only a few feet above sea level. The city was incorporated in 1925 and developed as a small Atlantic beach community. Its most recognizable landmark is the Flagler Beach Municipal Pier, which extends into the Atlantic Ocean. State Road A1A runs through the city along the coast, providing scenic access to beaches, parks, restaurants, and nearby communities. The surrounding area also offers access to the Intracoastal Waterway and Florida's northeast coast.
