Groveland is a city located in Lake County, Florida, the United States. It lies in central Florida, about 35 miles west of Orlando and roughly 25 miles southeast of Clermont. Groveland is part of the Orlando metropolitan area and sits in an area known for rolling terrain, freshwater lakes, citrus groves, and residential growth. The city is located at approximately 28.558° North latitude and 81.852° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 23,870 residents. Groveland covers about 19.40 square miles, or 50.25 square kilometers, including land and water. The community was settled in the 19th century and incorporated in 1922.
