Hickory Hills is a city located in Cook County, Illinois, the United States. It lies about 18 miles southwest of downtown Chicago and roughly 3 miles south of Oak Lawn. Hickory Hills is part of the Chicago metropolitan area and sits among several southwest suburban communities, including Palos Hills, Bridgeview, and Justice. The city is located at approximately 41.725° North latitude and 87.826° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 14,505 residents. Hickory Hills covers about 2.83 square miles, or 7.33 square kilometers. The city is near several Cook County forest preserves that provide hiking, fishing, nature viewing, and open space.
