Newberry is a city located in Alachua County, Florida, the United States. It lies in north-central Florida, about 20 miles west of Gainesville and roughly 25 miles southeast of Lake City. Alachua is about 10 miles northeast, while High Springs is around 10 miles north. Newberry is positioned near 29.646° North latitude and 82.606° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 7,342 residents. The city covers about 54.66 square miles, or 141.57 square kilometers, including land and water.
