Richmond Heights is a city located in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, the United States. It lies on the eastern side of the Cleveland metropolitan area, about 10 miles east of downtown Cleveland and roughly 5 miles west of Mentor. The city borders Euclid, Highland Heights, Lyndhurst, and South Euclid, placing it close to several inner-ring suburbs. Richmond Heights is positioned near 41.552° North latitude and 81.510° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 10,597 residents. The city covers about 4.05 square miles, or 10.49 square kilometers. Richmond Heights was incorporated as a village in 1917 and became a city in 1960. Its development accelerated during the 20th century as Cleveland's eastern suburbs expanded.
