It lies in northern Utah near the Bear River Valley, about 85 miles north of Salt Lake City and roughly 25 miles northwest of Brigham City. Logan is about 30 miles northeast, while Brigham City is approximately 25 miles southeast of Tremonton. The city is located at 41.7119° North latitude and 112.1655° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 9,873 residents. Tremonton covers about 7.65 square miles, or approximately 19.81 square kilometers. The surrounding landscape includes farmland, wetlands, open plains, and distant mountain ranges.
