Anthony is a city in the Mesilla Valley region of southern New Mexico and is part of the Las Cruces metropolitan area in Doña Ana County. It is located about 20 miles south of Las Cruces and borders Texas. The city is known for its unique location on the New Mexico–Texas state line and its annual Hot Air Balloon Rally.

Anthony is a city located in Doña Ana County, New Mexico, the United States. The city is situated in the Mesilla Valley along Interstate 10 near the New Mexico–Texas border. It is approximately 20 miles (32 km) south of Las Cruces, 18 miles (29 km) northwest of El Paso, Texas, and about 265 miles (426 km) south of Albuquerque. Anthony is located at 32.0034° North latitude and 106.6058° West longitude. According to the 2020 United States Census, the city had a population of 9,360. Anthony covers approximately 6.24 square miles (16.17 sq km). The city is well known for hosting the annual New Mexico Hot Air Balloon Rally and for its close connection to both New Mexico and Texas communities.
