Englewood is a city located in Montgomery County, Ohio, the United States. It lies in southwestern Ohio within the Dayton metropolitan area, about 10 miles northwest of downtown Dayton. Clayton is immediately south, while Vandalia is about 7 miles southeast and Brookville is roughly 8 miles west. Englewood is located at approximately 39.88° North latitude and 84.30° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 13,465 residents. The city covers about 6.64 square miles, or 17.20 square kilometers. Englewood developed as a suburban community along important transportation routes connecting Dayton with western Ohio and Indiana. Interstate 70 passes just north of the city, while Interstate 75 is accessible a short distance to the east. Englewood MetroPark is one of the area's most important natural attractions, with hiking trails, wetlands, forests, fishing areas, and opportunities for wildlife viewing.
