Enumclaw is a city located in King County, Washington, the United States. It lies on the Enumclaw Plateau in the southeastern part of the county, about 45 miles southeast of Seattle and about 35 miles east of Tacoma. Enumclaw is positioned near 47.202° North latitude and 121.990° West longitude. The city covers about 5.17 square miles, or 13.40 square kilometers, of land. The 2020 Census recorded 12,543 residents, while the Washington State Office of Financial Management estimated 13,090 residents in April 2023. The city stands at about 750 feet above sea level. Mount Rainier is the area's most famous natural landmark. A unique feature of Enumclaw is its location on a plateau formed by an ancient volcanic mudflow from Mount Rainier. The city was incorporated in 1913.
