It is about 120 miles south of Salt Lake City and sits along U.S. Route 89 at the foot of the Wasatch Plateau. Where is Ephraim Located?
Ephraim is a city located in Sanpete County, Utah, the United States. It lies in the Sanpete Valley on the eastern side of the San Pitch River, about 7 miles south of Manti and roughly 120 miles south of Salt Lake City. Ephraim is positioned at approximately 39.359° North latitude and 111.586° West longitude. The city covers about 4.45 square miles, or 11.53 square kilometers, and had 5,611 residents in the 2020 Census. A 2023 population estimate put the population at about 6,108. Ephraim sits at an elevation of roughly 5,542 feet above sea level. Snow College is one of its best-known landmarks and has operated in the community since 1888. Ephraim was first settled in 1854 and incorporated as a city in February 1868. Its early Scandinavian settlement history gives the city a distinctive cultural character.
