It lies immediately west of Columbus, about 3 miles northwest of the Ohio Statehouse and roughly 7 miles southwest of John Glenn Columbus International Airport. Grandview Heights is part of the Columbus metropolitan area and is surrounded by Columbus, Upper Arlington, and Marble Cliff. The city is located at approximately 39.979° North latitude and 83.040° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 7,473 residents. Grandview Heights covers about 1.33 square miles, or 3.44 square kilometers, and is almost entirely land. The city was incorporated in 1931 after developing as a residential community west of Columbus. Its historic neighborhoods include homes and buildings dating from the early 20th century.
