Where is Heber City Located?
Heber City is a city located in Wasatch County, Utah, the United States. It sits in the Heber Valley between the Wasatch Mountains and the Uinta Mountains, about 45 miles southeast of Salt Lake City and roughly 15 miles southeast of Park City. The city is located at approximately 40.507° North latitude and 111.413° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 16,856 residents. Heber City covers about 4.00 square miles, or 10.36 square kilometers. The Heber Valley Railroad is one of the area's best-known attractions and offers scenic train rides through the surrounding mountains. A unique feature of the city is its location in a high mountain valley surrounded by several major recreation areas. Deer Creek Reservoir, Jordanelle Reservoir, and the ski resorts around Park City are all nearby. U.S. Route 40 provides an important transportation route through the valley and connects Heber City with Park City, Interstate 80, and communities toward Provo.
