Ivins is a city located in Washington County, Utah, the United States. It lies in southwestern Utah, about 5 miles northwest of St. George and roughly 120 miles northeast of Las Vegas, Nevada. The city sits among the red sandstone cliffs and volcanic landscapes of the Red Cliffs Desert Reserve. Ivins is located at approximately 37.169° North latitude and 113.679° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 8,509 residents. Ivins covers about 10.48 square miles, or 27.14 square kilometers. The city has grown from a small agricultural community into a residential area surrounded by dramatic desert scenery. Snow Canyon State Park is one of the region's best-known attractions, with red and white sandstone cliffs, lava flows, hiking trails, and scenic overlooks.
