Kenmore is a city located in King County, Washington, the United States. It lies in western Washington on the northern shore of Lake Washington, about 13 miles northeast of downtown Seattle and roughly 5 miles west of Bothell. Kenmore is part of the Seattle metropolitan area and is surrounded by lakefront neighborhoods, wooded hills, parks, and nearby suburban communities. The city is located at approximately 47.758° North latitude and 122.244° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 23,914 residents. Kenmore covers about 7.73 square miles, or 20.02 square kilometers, including water. The city was incorporated in 1998 and developed from a rural and lakeside community into a suburban city closely connected to the Seattle region. Lake Washington is one of Kenmore's defining natural features and supports boating, fishing, kayaking, and other waterfront activities. Saint Edward State Park is another major attraction, with forested trails, shoreline access, and historic buildings. The Burke-Gilman Trail passes through the area and provides a popular route for walking and cycling.
