Lake Forest Park is a city located in King County, Washington, the United States. It lies north of Seattle on the eastern shore of Lake Washington, about 12 miles north of downtown Seattle and roughly 15 miles northeast of Sea-Tac International Airport. The city is located at approximately 47.757° North latitude and 122.281° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 13,630 residents, and Lake Forest Park has about 3.52 square miles of land area, or 9.12 square kilometers. The city is known for its wooded streets, ravines, parks, and access to Lake Washington. Horizon View Park and Lyon Creek Waterfront Preserve are among its local outdoor destinations. Lake Forest Park was incorporated in 1961 and developed as a planned residential community north of Seattle. A unique feature of the city is its combination of quiet, forested neighborhoods with direct access to a major metropolitan area and Lake Washington.
