Lebanon is a city located in Warren County, Ohio, the United States. It lies in southwestern Ohio, about 30 miles northeast of Cincinnati and approximately 30 miles southwest of Dayton. The city is located at approximately 39.435° North latitude and 84.203° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 20,659 residents, and Lebanon covers about 13.82 square miles (35.79 sq km). The community was founded in 1802 and named after Lebanon, Connecticut. It became the county seat of Warren County and developed as a center for agriculture, trade, manufacturing, and regional transportation. Lebanon's historic downtown is centered around the Warren County Courthouse and contains many preserved 19th-century buildings. The Golden Lamb, established in 1803, is one of the city's best-known historic landmarks and has hosted numerous notable visitors over the years. The Lebanon Mason Monroe Railroad offers heritage train rides and is another distinctive local attraction. A unique feature of Lebanon is its preserved historic character combined with its location between the Cincinnati and Dayton metropolitan areas.
