Where is Lindon Located?

Lindon is a city located in Utah County, Utah, the United States. It lies in northern Utah County along the eastern shore of Utah Lake, about 40 miles south of Salt Lake City and roughly 7 miles north of Provo. The city is located at approximately 40.343° North latitude and 111.720° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 11,100 residents, and Lindon covers about 8.90 square miles (23.05 sq km). The community was settled in the 1850s and was originally known for farming, orchards, and fruit production. It was incorporated as a city in 1924. Lindon's name is associated with an early local landowner and settler, William Lindon. The city sits beneath the Wasatch Mountains, giving it access to scenic mountain landscapes and outdoor recreation. Utah Lake lies just west of the city and is a major regional destination for boating, fishing, birdwatching, and other water activities. Lindon Marina provides access to the lake, while nearby parks offer sports fields, trails, and family recreation. A unique feature of Lindon is its location between Utah Lake and the Wasatch Mountain foothills, placing both water and mountain environments close to the community. Interstate 15 runs along the western side of Lindon and provides direct connections to Provo, Orem, Lehi, and the Salt Lake City metropolitan area.
