Loveland is a city located in Hamilton County, Ohio, the United States, with portions extending into Clermont and Warren counties. It lies along the Little Miami River, about 25 miles northeast of Cincinnati and roughly 20 miles southeast of Lebanon. Loveland is located at approximately 39.268° North latitude and 84.263° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 13,307 residents, and the city covers about 5.40 square miles (13.99 sq km). Loveland was founded in 1841 and incorporated as a village in 1876. The community developed around the railroad and the Little Miami River, which supported trade and transportation. Today, the river remains central to the city's identity. The Little Miami Scenic Trail passes through Loveland and attracts cyclists, walkers, and runners. Loveland Castle, also known as Chateau Laroche, is one of the area's most unusual landmarks. The city's historic downtown features older buildings, restaurants, shops, and riverfront gathering places.
