Madeira is a city located in Hamilton County, Ohio, the United States. It lies in southwestern Ohio, about 12 miles northeast of downtown Cincinnati and roughly 8 miles southeast of Mason. Madeira is located at approximately 39.186° North latitude and 84.363° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 9,008 residents, and the city covers about 3.08 square miles (7.98 sq km). Madeira was settled in the 19th century and incorporated as a village in 1910 before becoming a city in 1959. The community grew around the railroad and later developed as a residential suburb of Cincinnati. Its historic center retains a small-town character with local shops, restaurants, civic buildings, and community spaces. The nearby Little Miami River corridor provides access to one of the region's most important natural and recreational areas. The Little Miami Scenic Trail is popular with cyclists, walkers, and runners.
