Madeira is a city located in Hamilton County, Ohio, the United States. It lies in southwestern Ohio, about 12 miles northeast of downtown Cincinnati and roughly 8 miles southeast of Mason. Madeira is located at approximately 39.186° North latitude and 84.363° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 9,008 residents, and the city covers about 3.08 square miles (7.98 sq km). Madeira was settled in the 19th century and incorporated as a village in 1910 before becoming a city in 1959. The community grew around the railroad and later developed as a residential suburb of Cincinnati. Its historic center retains a small-town character with local shops, restaurants, civic buildings, and community spaces.
